Between the cattle ranches and railroads back in 1866 and 1889, there were cattle drives crossed the Oklahoma plains,
The history of the ranch cowboys is still working the ranches today.
As todays cowboys they live with their families in comfortable homes and use modern technology in working cattle.
Horses are still used on ranches, but trucks are used more .A helicopter is also used in place of horses in herding cattle.
